I’ve been writing a lot of long emails, so I am challenging myself to give you something really valuable, really quickly.
Step Three – On a scale of 1 to 10 how much do you want the thing you want? ____ And on a scale of 1 to 10, how willing are you to DO that thing that is scary or unknown? ____
The difference between those two numbers will tell you how far away you are from achieving your goal. The closer they are & the higher they are, the closer you are.
If you want a big goal, you have to find a way to make yourself want the ‘means’ to that goal.
If you want something at a 9 but you’re only willing to do its ‘necessary step’ at a 2, now you know why you don’t have it and probably never will.
This is a really good example of what I teach, Gas versus Brakes. When you think of your dream goal you always want to hit the gas, but whatever is stopping you from doing that thing you NEED to do in Step Two, is your B.R.A.K.E. © (Bringing Resistance and Killing Effort).
